Spring head pool by Catt's Shaw
The white flowers in the centre of the picture are hemlock water dropwort (Oenanthe crocata) growing in the pool fed by a spring on the north east side of Catt's Shaw, an ancient woodland to the south west of East View Terrace. Hemlock water dropwort has been described as probably the most poisonous plant in Britain.
