Sheep and lambs at Woodlands Farm
Woodlands Farm was taken over by the Royal Arsenal Co-Operative Society in 1920 and used as a model piggery. The Woodlands Farm Trust was founded in 1997 and bought a 999 year lease on the farm with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Bridge House Estates Trust. More details of the farm, which is the largest city farm in London, can be found at

The sheep with their lambs had been put out to this field. In this view from the path from the farm buildings to the old abattoir site, new housing on the site of the former Hillview School is going up, right of centre.
