Baitings Dam
Baitings Dam
Baitings Reservoir lies in the valley of the River Ryburn close to Ripponden in the West Yorkshire Pennines. Completed in 1956, it is the higher of the two reservoirs operated by Yorkshire Water which built to supply water to the town of Wakefield; the lower reservoir is Ryburn Reservoir.

A tablet set into the dam wall (SE0119 : Commemorative Stone, Baitings Dam) records that the official opening of Baiting Dam was on 3 May 1957.
