Burscough Bridge Junction Signal Box
Burscough Bridge Junction Signal Box
This wood and brick-built signal box is of a type used by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway and probably dates from the early part of the twentieth century. There used to be a junction here with curves forming a link between the Ormskirk-Preston and Southport-Wigan lines. Both curves were removed during the rail restructuring of the 1960s and 1970s.
