Horse crossing, Shooters Hill
It is unusual to find a push-button for a toucan crossing set back maybe twenty metres from the road. This one, with the button set much higher than it would be for pedestrians, is to allow horse riders coming out of the woods to request a crossing as they approach the main road, on their way back to the equestrian centre the other side.
The centre - and presumably this crossing - were part of the 2012 Olympic legacy, provided initially for competitors at the equestrian events in Greenwich Park, and later for the general public.

Because of the Games
This snippet is to link together disparate photos which are not of 2012 Olympic / Paralympic events or venues, but of features or activities associated with them such as security, transport and advertising. Mostly but not all taken in Greenwich where Greenwich Park was used for equestrian events and pentathlon.
