TL2100 : Footpath fingerpost on Deeves Hall Road, Ridge

Footpath fingerpost on Deeves Hall Road, Ridge
This is the pre-1964 design, but fingerposts were spared the death sentence, although as far as I know none were made in this style since then but they are still fully legal to display as are the white ones on roads. Although there are many local styles for road fingerposts as well as the white versions of these which were issued nationally most footpath ones looked like this. The only others were actual direction signs for footpaths, using oblong plates with arrows underneath the destination but were proper directions rather than fingerposts, but kept the path colouring of white on green.
