SO4959 : Millennium Clock in Leominster

taken 13 years ago, near to Leominster, County of Herefordshire, England

Millennium Clock in Leominster
Millennium Clock in Leominster
The clock is on the wall of the Oxfam charity shop in Corn Street. The £20,000 timepiece was a controversial addition to the town centre because the clock face contains a representation of a woman in a ducking stool. Leominster was the last town in England to duck a woman in a river. There is pub named The Ducking Stool Link nearby, in South Street.
