Discussion on NN6375
Train near Drumochter Summit, wonderful, Waterfalls as well, the reason most of us ended up in remote mountains unless born there, or sent on military camps, reached Bath to Geology, North Wales to volcanic structures, past sites you cannot see from the road which is more vulnerable, or paths most never use, lifeline of Africa, basis of the Indian economy, stitching the states and Regions of USA, France and Canada together. Is that, trying to read photograph, 45471, or GCB117 45471 (LF) tn Dundee 55/56 on the George C Bett list? So that has a new, or renewal status when photographed. We have photographs 1957 to 2007 and there are some of the Tyndrum curve also spectacular on other sites. There is a recent landslide over the tunnel Avon Gorge, blockfall, where passenger used to carry us and now "coal is king" (there seem to be quotes of that everywhere, so I cannot source the original, but I remember it on BBC documentary many years ago and presume it may come from cinema, rendered by a well known narrator with a good voice, like the Mallory film which was full of strong narrators we all know from classic stage and films, such as Pathe at that time, we used to have them on petroleum films in Geology). The amount of good history that could be written and recorded. Mike
