Beauly Priory

Beauly Priory was founded in about 1230 by John Bisset for the Valliscaulian order, one of only three Valliscaulian priories in Scotland, all the others being in France. Beauly became a Cistercian priory in 1510. The area around the modern ruins has been used in more recent times as a burial ground.
