Car park and visitor centre, Abbotsford

This new car park and visitor centre, opened in August 2012, are part of a development and restoration project at Sir Walter Scott's home at Abbotsford on the bank of the Tweed SE of Galashiels. Abbotsford itself is closed at present as restoration proceeds but the visitor centre houses a fine exhibition, free of charge, a shop and a cafe-restaurant.
