SH6054 : Snowdon Summit Station
Alledgedly once described by Prince Charles as "the highest slum in Europe" the station is due for an £8m rebuild commencing September later this year. The facilities are due to be reopened in time for the 2008 season and during this time the railway will operate to Clogwyn and Halfway and will be used to transport materials and rubble and as a shuttle for the construction workers.
I can't say I approve of the commercialisation of our mountains but it's part of our history so let's have some better pictures before the cafe and other buildings are demolished.
