Aire & Calder Navigation with railway bridges
Aire & Calder Navigation with railway bridges
South-west of Goole the Aire & Calder Navigation is crossed by the rail route between Doncaster and Hull. That bridge, a modern structure, is partly hidden by a separate, nearer one carrying several pipes over the waterway. Two further bridge sections, one of brick the other a more traditional type of metal bridge, continue the rail route towards Goole.
