West side of tower - Church of St Mary and All Saints, Conwy
The parish church in the centre of Conwy originated as the abbey church at Aberconwy Abbey, which was relocated to Maenan in the 1280s. The church was largely rebuilt at that time. The tower is built in the end bay of the abbey church. Unusually the church is not quite aligned due east-west. The tower is not symmetrical as a stair tower has been added on to the south side.
