A zoomed view taken from a footbridge. The older portal on the right was opened in 1848 as part of the Gloucester to Carmarthen broad gauge route, built by the South Wales Railway and sponsored by the Great Western Railway. The portal on the left is a much later addition, when the route was widened to 4 tracks. The year 1910 is inscribed in stone above the portal.
Link to an unzoomed view from the same location, taken in August 2009.
