Remains of a jetty
Remains of a jetty
These ruins are located alongside the River Leven, not far from the base of Dumbarton Rock. Beyond the line of the jetty, the Leven flows out into the River Clyde.

For more information, and for different views, see NS3974 : Remains of a jetty and NS3974 : View across old jetty.

Visible on the right is the shore at nearby Levengrove Park.
Old jetty at Dumbarton Rock

The ruins of the jetty are located on the north-western side of the Rock, at the southern end of what was once Denny's Shipyard. The jetty was beside the mouth of a large tidal basin (that basin is now filled in, and its site occupied by a football stadium).
