The wind farm sits on land at Little Cheyne Court on the Romney Marshes East of Rye and North of Camber, in East Sussex near the Kent border.

Each of the 26 Nordex N90 wind turbines at the site is 377ft (115m) high and weighs over 275 tonnes. The site was built by Npower at a cost of £50 million, and was officially opened in 2009. When it opened it was the biggest onshore wind farm in England, though larger farms were opened soon after. The wind farm only provides electricity to for up to 33,000 homes.
