Cameron Farm Chambered Cairn: axial chamber
The photograph shows one of several chambers that are located along the central axis of the cairn. In this view, it is seen as a rectangular area, with a young, pale tree sprouting from one of the near corners. The edges of the chamber look earthen, but (as I confirmed by touch) they are stone-lined.
This chamber is located close to the SE end of the cairn (the end where the cairn's facade is located). The view direction is along the central axis, and the facade is just a few metres further ahead.

(at Canmore) for detailed information about the site. The long axis of this chambered cairn is oriented SE—NW, and the slightly concave facade is at the southeastern end. In early reports, the cairn's length is given as 300 links, which is about 60 metres. Behind the facade, and further back along the long axis of the cairn, are the remains of several chambers. A 1972 report at the Canmore link also mentions "a large square chamber, not on the central axis".
