In this square the granite tramway reaches fairly level ground. Used for less than 40 years in the C19, it runs for 8 miles and here follows what is now a bridleway between farmland and the outskirts of Bovey Tracey.

This image is duplicated in SX8077 : Haytor Granite Tramway, taken seven years later. With the benefit of a GPS reading, I have made the GRs more accurate.
