Dartmoor Prison Farm
View westwards from the B3212 on the outskirts of Princetown, looking across the prison farm to the prison buildings and North Hessary Tor. The TV transmitter was built in 1955 to serve Devon and Cornwall and we got our first TV shortly afterwards.

Leaving Princetown by the Two Bridges Road takes the traveller downhill for a couple of miles to a junction just above the picturesque Two Bridges Hotel. If one is able to stop in a small layby there is a good view of the prison across the fields.
