The tide is fairly low but coming in. Gusty winds and frequent waves of 8 feet or more are breaking, and the strong current across the cove is enough to deter swimming out of one's depth.

Looking eastwards up the narrow lane leading to the beach. Little room on either side for housing or parking here.

This gap in the rocks leading down to the beach from the end of the lane was made by farmers who used to take horse and cart or donkeys down to the beach to collect sand. Gull Rock just off shore.
