Next to Hindlip Hall, looking east with New Covert at the back. The red sign warned that police dogs were training on the field, so I hurried past in case I got nabbed by the 'not-quite-there' trainee.

The central pedimented block and outermost wings were built after 1818 for Viscount Southwell, and brewer Henry Allsopp added the rather ungainly linking blocks in 1864. Grade II* listed.
