Ice pockets on Severn estuary
As the tide receded on the Severn estuary pockets of ice had formed on the sand after a heavy frost. Across the river is Broadoak and on the right of the skyline is May hill.

River Severn (at Newnham)
The River Severn at its Estuary stage near Newnham (downstream from Gloucester). Taken at lowtide with a few sandbanks in the centre. At this time of day the Estuary is only a maximum of 4 metres deep near Newnham.
