Markeaton Stones
Markeaton Stones - a group of cottages on a bridleway leading from Markeaton Park to the hills behind Kedleston Hall. The track was suffering from several days of heavy rain and the going was 'soft' to say the least.

Running between medium high hedges the track is running towards Markeaton Park in Derby.

A noticeboard next to the house says that this is the first official bridle track in England. There was a date of I think 1757 but I may have not remembered that correctly.

An unsurfaced farm track
The farm track could be very muddy in wet weather. However as it has not rained for about two weeks the path is fairly dry.

Cutting the corner
This footpath diverges off from the bridleway, allowing walkers but not riders to cut the corner heading towards Meynell Langley.
