Sykes Mill was built around 1847 as a Worsted Mill. Not being quite sure just what Worsted is, I found this on Wikipedia, LinkExternal link The mill itself is in the next square and is converted to housing.

A groundsman can just be seen with the mower making a late season cut at Oxenhope Cricket Club. A few minutes later a huge rainstorm soaked the ground and the mower was put away.
