There is a trig station SD3984 : OS bolt triangulation station, Saskills here which takes some searching out - it is a bolt stuck into the rock right beside the cairn at an altitude of 238.658m asl. The summit is now CRoW access land and can be accessed from White Stone or... (more)

Right beside the cairn SD3984 : Summit cairn on Saskills, the highest point of Newton Fell and difficult to spot (might be mistaken for a stray sheep dropping!).
