An Caolas
A view looking southwest across An Caolas from the campsite on Fidden Farm. The disused observatory on the island of Erraid can be seen just left of centre.

The sound is uncrossable about two hours either side of high tide.

Jointed granite outcrop
A characteristic of this part of the Ross of Mull are the ice-moulded outcrops of pink-coloured granite. Here at the tide-mark the jointing is also well displayed.

A track leading east on the north shore of Erraid to a small bay and white cottage.

House by the shore, Erraid
An idyllic spot if one likes a remote location. Accessible on foot from the Ross of Mull when the tide is out. Curlew, oystercatchers and greylag geese for company, as well as several sheep.
