Just to the north of Dingwall railway station, as the Kyle of Lochalsh Line and Far North Line split. A path crosses the lines, with gates and signs to "Stop, Look Listen".

This part of the marsh occupies the angle between the Kyle and Far North branches of the railway.

The canal was built in 1817 but abandoned in 1849, due to serious silting from the River Peffery. It's certainly a very sticky and slippery place now. The Round Dingwall walk follows a footpath along the bank.
