The medieval parish church of Holy Trinity, Carlingford (CoI), dates back to 1305. It was closed in 1982 and de-consecrated 12 November 1991. It is now the heritage centre. This is the small cemetery between the building and the main road.
The long-closed cinema, in Newry Street, subsequently converted to a shop and now “to let”. If anyone happens to know when it showed its last picture . . . .
The Wood Quay which handled imports of timber had the advantage of water, rail and road transport facilities. Carlingford's timber trade has long disappeared and the quay and buildings now are part of an attractive private residence.
