Suzanne Maloney

SUZANNE MALONEY is Vice President and Director of the Foreign Policy program at the Brookings Institution, where her research focuses on Iran and Persian Gulf energy. She served as an adviser to the U.S. State Department’s Undersecretary for Political Affairs in the Obama administration and as a member of the Secretary of State’s Policy Planning Staff in the George W. Bush administration. Earlier in her career, she served as Middle East adviser for ExxonMobil Corporation. She is the editor of The Iranian Revolution at Forty and the author of Iran’s Political Economy Since the Revolution.
