Esra lives in two worlds. Already as a child, she had such vivid dreams that it was hard for her to differentiate them from reality. These dreams increasingly dominate the daily life of the now grown-up Esra, who has to face a lot of opposition as a German-Turkish woman. Against her family's will, she marries a cab driver and starts working as a waitress. Yet her relationship fails and she also loses the job due to her temper. Then she meets Mo, but their romance does not last either, for Mo is dealing with drugs and on the run from the police. Esra only finds true comfort in her dreams, in which she continues to encounter a male stranger. When she tries to get to know the man better, their worlds gradually seem to coalesce.
