A Killer's Hell Part One
image-placeholderPhoenix Voices Publishing
Introduction
Franklin J. North: A killer of over three dozen people in North America alone. This ruthless killer finally was arrested, then after nearly three years his trial date had arrived. Guilty was his plea for most murders he'd committed. To avoid death by firing squad, this coward chose to plead guilty. But instead of the firing squad he was condemned to a life sentence in a new form of punishment known as the Time Capsule.
The Time Capsule was invented exclusively for those who committed the most heinous crimes, those such as Frank. A prisoner could be sent to any place on earth. Any year could be the year that the convict arrives in a given area; the year could be 1923, 2001, 2089 or any other calendar year.
Each day was a new beginning; even if the prisoner tried his best at doing good deeds, he'd still be violently killed just before sunrise. The Time Capsule was a terrible mind game, played on the prison system's most unfortunate cons.
Frank was one who was completely unaware that he would forever be violently murdered just before dawn at the hands of the infamous Time Capsule. Nothing is written in stone here. Or is it?
Franklin J North- the most prolific serial killer of modern times. He was lazy, spoiled and most of all a sociopathic; this person cared about no one and nothing but himself. In Frank’s mind, his needs were all that mattered every one else's needs were insignificant. After losing his mother to a long, hard-fought battle with cancer, Frank soon stepped into a world of organized crime. A crime figure…everyone, even the neighborhood kids knew Frank for being evil, cruel, and sadistic. It seemed as though every weekend, he'd be involved in a bar brawl, gun battle, or knife fights; there were times he was involved in all three of the aforementioned. Soon his reputation landed him the leader of one of the South's most notorious street gangs. Frank then became an enforcer for the said gang, but after only seven months Frank was asked to leave the club. It seemed Frank's everyday violent behavior drew too much-unwanted police attention to the club. It was evident that during his time as the club's enforcer, his killing spree began. There were around 15 people whom Frank killed within a period of five years. Many were killed just because, while others were collateral damage. But whatever the case may have been murdered, Frank was the sole responsible party for the deaths.
After finally being arrested for the murders, Frank spent nearly two years in jail before finally attending his initial court hearing. He’d agreed to a plea deal and signed the paperwork prior to being taken before the judge's panel. But little did the freshly convicted killer know, he'd just signed up for his own Killer’s Hell. A few days after his conviction, Frank left the death house and was transported to cell block T. Cell block, which was where the Time Capsules and their occupants were housed. Even while being connected to the Time Capsule, Frank remained arrogant, and showed no signs of remorse for his crimes. All the necessary hoses, wiring, and monitors were attached to Frank from the Time Capsule. Soon afterwards the attending physician opened the valves to administer the drugs that would keep Frank in a state of unconsciousness.
Chapter One
It was just before Frank began to lose consciousness, that the prison's Warden stepped over to deliver a bit of news to the convicted killer
Hey, hey Franky boy, can you still hear me
? Asked the Warden. Sure Daddy-O
, replied Frank. Okay, good
, that's fine, said the Warden. You do know you will be killed every morning, right. But what no one has bothered to tell you is, you will feel all of the pains from every gunshot, knifing, every poisoning, and every electrocution
. Oh, and the fire - you know Frankie my boy, you may even be burned alive
, said the Warden, as everyone around them chuckled. The smirk slowly drained from Frank's face. He reached for the Warden as he let out an intoxicated and terrified NOOO
! But it was too late, he had succumbed to the Time Capsule's drugs.
The Warden- who was a work of art himself, really enjoyed informing prisoners about the Time Capsule; especially informing them of the pain they would endure. Those details were never disclosed during the sentencing phrase. Prisoners would feel the excruciating pain of death on a daily basis, pain during every death caused by the Time Capsule. Some prisoners wouldn't live through the Time Capsule ordeal; most would suffer massive heart attacks, strokes, etc. But it was really spooky how a prisoner could be murdered on a daily basis, but then would continue living on, afterwards in the Time Capsule. Unfortunately something such as a simple heart attack wouldn't cause certain death in the Time Capsule.
Chapter Two
Frank was awakened by his name being called in a small Texas jail; He was soon to be released on a work detail. Luckily he was known to have great landscaping skills. Frank was to report to the mayor's home and began an overhaul of the four gardens there. Given a brown paper bag lunch, Frank would be released to work for the mayor today. The prisoner signed the necessary documents, then began his exit from the jail.
Just across the way in the jail's parking lot sat the chief of police - Chief Luke. The city's top cop motioned Frank over; Frank of course obliged. Just as he reached the police cruiser, the Chief reached over and unlocked the front passenger's door of his squad car.
Get in, I'll drop you off
, said the chief. The ride to the mayor’s residence was short and very informative. I hope we won't have to place you back in your cell early; you're going here to work and you best be on your best behavior
. Do we have a clear understanding Frank
? Yes, yes sir we do
, replied Frank.
The patrol car came to a sudden stop just in front of a beautiful two story Victorian style home. Frank exited the vehicle then watched it as it drove out of site. He then turned to make his way towards the home when he noticed a beautiful lady standing in the front entrance. This can't be the mayor
, he said to himself.
Good morning
, said the lady. I'm the city's mayor but you can call me Leslie
. Good morning Leslie, I'm sorry for staring but you're not at all what I expected
. You're beautiful
! I was told you were 57 years old; you couldn't be more than 40", said Frank. Oh stop that, she told him as the color drained from her face. He'd made the mayor bluish and would even make her giggle at times. The pair were in no hurry to begin work. It wasn't long before they were both seated under the mayors gazebo, while entertaining one another.
Leslie had been alone in the old house since her husband Tom died eight years prior. Having Frank over to help out did wonders for the lonely mayor, mentally. God, he thought to himself, she's a lot older than me but she looks awesome. What a body for a 57 year old, Frank told himself
.
Hey Leslie, we best be getting started. The chief gave me an earful this morning on the ride over
, Frank told the mayor. Oh hush up! I'm your boss and you're my new boyfriend
, she playfully informed him before letting out a school girl giggle. Besides, you know who the chief of polices' boss is, don't you
? No I don't
, Frank sincerely replied. Me, the mayor
. She told him. Wow, really? That is so cool, he exclaimed as he finally began to relax
. How about a morning swim
? She asked.
Just as he was about to answer, Chief Luke drove up and began to exit his patrol car. Looking toward Frank, Leslie could see the fear in Frank's face. OOOkay. I'll handle this
! She said, The mayor hurried
