    THE PROBLEM

As the saying goes , life is full of ups and downs, so many unwanted issues, so many complications, daily upheavals, problems here and there, challenges and difficulties within families, relatives, neighbours, community people, organizations, institutions and anywhere you see people; economic problems; political problems; religious problems; wars among nations; untimely death; the rich feeding on the poor to get richer and the poor get poorer; spiritual and physical attacks and many more. All these are what mankind faces daily, irrespective of the geographical location of everyone. These unpalatable occurrences have been increasing lately, and we should expect more. These are not new things; they are age-long happenings. Let us see from the perspective of the Preacher - a man with the record of being the wisest person on earth in his book called Ecclesiastes. It is a long read, but I advise you to patiently read through it, as it will set the pace for this book. The Bible's long passages below are an overview of the many issues and complications of life that happen to both the rich and the poor, the mighty and the weak, the privileged and the less privileged.

    Ecclesiastes 1:2-3

2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity. 3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun? KJV

    Ecclesiastes 1:8-9

8 All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. 9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be, and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. KJV

    Ecclesiastes 1:13-18

13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised in addition to that. 14 I have seen all the works done under the sun; behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit. 15 That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered. 16 I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge. 17 And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit. 18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. KJV

    Ecclesiastes 2:1-14

I said in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity. 2 I said of laughter, It is mad: and of mirth, What doeth it? 3 I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men,
