Preface
Throughout history, discussions about justice and deception had recurrent themes that captivated the minds of philosophers and ordinary people. The complexity surrounding the concept of justice particularly when it comes to question of whether to blame God for the injustice we created had provoked intense debate. However, if we examine the intricate web of human action and free will, we will see that the responsibility for justice or deception lies with human rather than God. The notion that God is to blame for the existence of injustice and deception is rooted in the concept of God or belief that God possessed supreme power and control all aspect of human.
The critics debated that if God is indeed powerful how come he did not prevent the occurrence of injustice or deceptive acts. The problem with that notion was that they failed to realize that God gave us the gift of free will. The free will enables us to exercise our moral agency and make choices. These choices might either lead to justice or deception. Our capacity to reason, discern right from wrong, and act accordingly is why God should not be blame for injustice or deceptive we created. As generally believed, there is nothing in the world that completely free without price to pay. The prices we pay depend on the choice we made. Therefore the existence of free will is what brought the evil, deception, and injustice. Though God does not bear the blame of human injustice and deception, the concept of divine justice provide hope and rectifies wrongdoing. We should also understand that exploration of injustice or deception is not enough to hold God accountable for the choices we made. This paradox of free will and evil act is what inspire me to go deeper in my thought.
The genesis
Today was one of my typical days; I was thinking about the craziness going on in the world especially around me. I thought about the wars, immigration issues, and ongoing insecurity. I asked myself, will it ever be peace in our world? I opened my computer to search for local and international latest news; I did not see anything fascinating but same old news. I said to myself, what kind of world are we living? I read many write ups; listened to voice audios, watched videos about politics, murder, corruption, infidelity, abuse, and more. As I searched deeper, same stories continue to evolve. I asked myself again, why? Will human ever learn from their mistakes? Are we created to rejoice from stupid drama and infliction of pain on others? Why are we always looking for justice from the injustice we created? Many why, but there was no answer in the search engine to answer my why? I concluded that we must be human with lost soul living in a strange world.
With many whys and the urge for an answer, I did not see anything interesting but irrational aspect of human being. I then assumed that to be this irrational; we must be partially civilized animal. I called human partially animal because of our nature to make same mistake repeatedly with no incline to learn from it. With our reasoning faculty, ability to feel, and sense; I expect a better outcome from human action. Instead we are acting like animal in a human skin. The only thing I could attribute to irrational accept of human behavior was their inner deep secret to revenge any misfortune in their life. With human mindset for revenge, many lost their ability to forgive. As a result of lack of forgiveness, majority of human action lead to frustration and murder.
The most confusing aspect of it all was the fact that they thought revenge would give them peace of mind. The type of revenge they carried out would not only affect their victim but innocent bystanders as well. Those affected wrongly would try to plan their revenge to feel good too. The circle of evil continues without end. What kind of world is this? Why are we so evil? Is revenge a human or animalistic approach to human essence? Why are we using our gift of free will to do evil? What a messy world! How do we explain this in a sensible manner? Again too many question marks, yet there was no answers.
At this junction, it is wise to say that everything about human is complicated. It is complicated because it is very difficult to understand human action base on revenge. This is because many of the action human carried out resulted from the deep secret rooted in their heart. Human are so secretive and wicked to the point of planning a murder and still smiling. They could carry out hate crime without remorse or fear of what or who would challenge them. As I went deep in my thought, I had an idea to define human to clarify who we are. I believed through proper definition or clarification we would perceive ourselves better and carry ourselves with more dignity. I believed if we understand ourselves we will see the different in us. Once the different is glaring, we will incline to accept it indiscriminately for peace to rain. With knowledge of ourselves, we will be truthful instead of creating fake self-narrative.
Before we can understand ourselves, we must know our beginning. How we get here and the genesis of our existence? In the biblical narration, we made believed that the earth we are living now was once without life. It was formless and very dark. Was it that, God was living in this dark and formless place before the project of creation? Or was he living in another planet and wanted to make use of this planet? I guess, I will never know. God created earth in six days and rest the seventh day. No wonder we wanted to get rich and famous in a blink of an eyes. Are we trying to be like God? After all, the bible stated that God created us in his image.
The biblical narration of creation of life is a puzzle and mystery that we will never fully understand. The first day light was created, second day sky was created; third day dry land, sea, and tree were created. The fourth day, sun, moon, and stars were created. The fifth day was the creatures that live in the sea and those that fly. The sixth day, animal that lives on dry land and human were created. God rested on the seventh day. Hmmm, human and animal were created the same day, no wonder we were similar in nature. But what went wrong after creation that made animal and human became opposite attraction and afraid of one another? Further illustration made it known that higher power was given to human to lead and govern everything and other creations. Six senses were given to both human and animal, which higher power again? I guess we will never find out but speculation of what it is.
Base on my knowledge and biblical narration, animal and man are similar. The only different between them is how they utilized there gift of free will. Human make their choices base on flesh (using five senses for immediate gratification) while animal uses their six senses in any decision making. The constant activation of animal sixth sense is what make them carefree and careless about their flesh, and give it up freely to devour without revenge. The animal values their soul and spirit than flesh because of it heaviness and much restriction to move freely with it. With sixth sense, animal knew that spirit world is more peaceful than earth. Therefore, animal invested less into the maintenance of their flesh and focus on salvation of their souls. On the other hand, human who focus more on flesh, tend to invest more on their body which lead to frustration and lose of their souls.
If human being understands that soul and flesh as two separate powerhouses but one is everlasting and other is temporary, human will choose wisely in decision making. If human understand their existence as short live, they will focus more on peaceful living instead of accumulation of wealth to maintain the flesh. The physical exertion to maintain flesh is the root cause of love for money which is the root cause of miserable living. But those human who use their six senses, they focus on salvation of their souls instead of love of flesh. I am not saying human should not maintain their body but I am encouraging simple maintenance. It is easy to maintain simplicity than high life; therefore, simplicity will reduce stressful living. Before I get carried away with sixth sense and the environment, let me go back to internet WWW.com which is the World Wide Web for easy understanding of human.
Internet is a community by itself. It is a place where anything is possible with limited factual. It is where unthinkable and unimaginable could happen. Despite my knowledge that internet is very brutal, I still wanted to continue my search to get answer to question about human. Many might ask why internet despite its brutality. I would answered, the cost. I thought about my option of physical site visitation to collect ideas and the positive and negative aspect of internet search. The choice of traveling across the globe; internet is cheaper and safer. Internet is a click of a mouse, it involve subscription for access, phone, and a laptop. Traveling across the globe, it involves traveling expenses and hotel accommodations. Other expenses include mobility across each city, and phone carrier availability challenges in various cities, food, and entertainment expenses. From the look of things, internet search is the best approach with computer literate and ability to filter what to see or hear for sanity sake.
For more clarity, I would compare life before computer age and how information disseminates and the impact on both worlds. Before computer age, information was spread by word of mouth and is mostly localized and costly. It took extensive traveling to carry information from a close community to a distance community. As a result, culture and negative information stayed within local area. But with computer age, it took a blink of an eye to spread any information without regard to who will have access to the information; how the information is use; and who get hurt as a result of the information is of less concern. As I said earlier, human is a subject; and it must be treated separately for better understanding of self.
Many might be wondering, why I’m trying to define human in a book about justice and deception? It is because to accurately understand our action and to get fair judgement, we must understand our fundamental. The lack of understanding and knowledge is the reason we were more confused today. If we understand our self, we will respect more; and if we respect our self, we will respect other people and our world will be a better place to live. With my limited knowledge, I decided to take the challenge and define human using; scientific research; philosophical reasoning; and biblical approach to define it. At this point, I started to get clear ideals that human definition is a topic by itself. It is a subject that requires a lot of attention for clarity yet challenge enough for debate. What is human and how do we define us?
Human
Just as we are called, ‘human’, what is human? How do we define human. Our problem started from the fact that there were no clear words to define us. As I searched internet dictionary for a good definition of human; or human as a being, no definition gave me the moral answer I desired. The lack of simple basic definition is why majority of educated and uneducated human
