About this ebook

To better understand how to walk by faith in God, we need to study the book of Daniel. This book uncovers the lessons Christians need to understand kingdom faith and how to trust God. The book of Daniel has a wealth of wisdom for believers to draw from on how to believe God and deepen our relationship with Him. The trials that Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego went through and survived are testament to the glory of God in a believer's life. Nothing is too hard for God. But we need faith to build the bridge needed to touch God and walk with Him. Lessons from the book of Daniel unfold the posture that enables believers to accept the grace of God.

    Conclusion

    Introduction

The goodness and character of God are tucked away in between the stories and accounts of those that came before us. The book of Daniel also has buried in it a wealth of wisdom for us to gain knowledge and understanding of how to walk with God and see His magnificent glory manifest in our situations.

Every chapter digs deeper into the stories we often hear and read about Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and the various kings of Babylon. The purpose is to have revelatory knowledge and a better understanding of the kingdom of God. Head knowledge definitely has its place, but the ultimate goal is to have the Word abide in our hearts. Meditating on Scriptures that give our hearts the greatness of God's faithfulness, precepts, and power will strengthen our faith in our Heavenly Father. With that in mind, I pray that each chapter will reveal the lessons the Holy Spirit wants each of you to know and apply in your lives. When you reflect on these lessons, I hope you get the conviction to live in a way that glorifies God.

We have a Father in Heaven who created each of us for a specific purpose. Even when we don’t yet know what that purpose is, we realise He has given us gifts. We may believe that our abilities do not measure up to the assignment given to us, or if we’re lucky, we may be aware of the greatness of our gifts. Some people can sing; others are natural-born leaders; others can play football, and others have a knack for making people so comfortable around them that they’re willing to share their secrets with them. Whatever talent you have, it is a gift from God.

We must acknowledge that our abilities are gifts from God, given freely to us in the measure He saw fit for us. There’s absolutely nothing that we can do with our power and might. But the greatness of our gifts in each one of us is given to us by God to the measure that He wanted us to have those abilities. We see this in Daniel 1:17, where it’s pointed out that God gave Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. Their wisdom and knowledge were found to be ten times better than those of all the magicians and enchanters in Babylon (Daniel 1:19–20).

Humans are very social beings. In every social setting, there’s a hierarchy that is quickly established based on various factors. Automatically, the one who is found by human standards to
