    Introduction

Children and late adolescents experience trials and tribulations that are often unnoticed. The early stages of a person's life are the foundation of their life. Their interests, hobbies, beliefs, and dreams are essential parts of adolescence. There are several things that young people battle with daily, such as confidence, discovering who they are, and finding their purpose. The treatment that they receive from adults is vital. Certain things can affect or help a young person.

This book will share the hidden challenges and sufferings young people endure in silence. I will share these challenges through poetry and reflections based on my conversations with young people as a mentor and my experiences. This book is not a parenting guide or a way to discourage or disrespect people. I am not blaming parents or adults for young people's mistakes because people will make mistakes regardless.

The information, encouragement, and wisdom will provide clarity and awareness. I wrote this book to raise awareness about the hidden problems of young adults and adolescents for others to stop ignoring them. I will reveal how to overcome the past, move forward, and start anew. Also, I want to encourage people to be more considerate to others and help them in times of affliction. As adults, we must become better parents and teachers by adequately assisting the young people in this generation and the generations to come. It is time to start making positive changes to help the youth because they are the leaders of tomorrow.

    Preface

As a mentor, several people have opened up to me about their problems to receive help. I have always had a passion for teaching, uplifting, and sharing words of wisdom. In this book, I want to bring awareness to the constant obstacles young people endure to stop going unnoticed. This book is a voice for those who suffer in silence. Through my passion for mentoring and poetry, I will speak up for young people and encourage them. We must alter how we treat young people and stop disregarding their problems because the youth are the leaders of tomorrow.
