I, Too, An American
I crossed
the Pacific Ocean
with a few bucks
in my pocket.
The jet lag mesmerized
my brain,
my body,
and
my mind
without even thinking
about the language barrier
the moment
my siblings and I arrived
at O’Hare International Airport.
I stomped
on my right feet
outside
the Terminal 5 Arrival Area.
Is this excitement?
as I
murmured
and
whispered
to myself.
Is this fear?
as I
had thought about the consequences
as I
stepped outside
the Terminal 5 Arrival Area.
Is this a regular day?
as I
permanently crossed
the Pacific Ocean,
knowing that
I wouldn’t be
coming back
for
at least
a half a decade.
I finally stepped
outside
the O’Hare International Airport,
wintery weather
and
snow precipitated
all over my face
and
in the top of my head
like pouring powder
of Johnson & Johnson baby powder.
I realized,
I,
too,
an American.
Culture Unshocked
American Politics’s political circus
continues
to play
in the collective minds
of Ordinary American
citizens.
There is nowhere
to hide
from
the political circus
of each politician
who tries
to convince
the public
for votes.
American citizens
are
neither surprised
nor appalled
about
the electoral process.
Each elected official
or
a political candidate
acknowledges
the political risks
of running
for
a political position,
whether for
a local,
a State,
or
a federal office.
Believe it or not,
American Politics
is
like watching
a Barnum Circus
and
other theatrical showdowns
between
the two major political parties.
American Politics
becomes
a normal way of life
for many Ordinary Americans
who live domestically
and
who travel overseas
during the General Election.
Nothing
is
shocking
about American Politics
but
the twists and turns
create a new
fictional persona
or
character;
that is,
waiting
to be discovered
in order
to become
fully well-versed
with 5
American Politics.
Remembrance of 9/11/2001
Shocking moment
of truth
about the
application
and
responsiveness
of American laws
are
like a dirty river
waiting
to disappoint each politician
about the remembrance
of 9/11/2001.
Domestic crisis
awaits
to be discovered.
But
the precifice of Ordinary Americans’ lives
has been
disrupted.
Shock and awe!
You can name
in American history book
that such
a devastating crisis
has occurred
in the past
to fulfill the New Order
of the future.
A crisis creates
a destruction
for Natural Rights.
That is,
a destruction of properties,
personal lives and liberties,
and
inalienable rights
for worse
or
for better.
American political system
has been
tested
over and over again.
A crisis like 9/11/2001
creates a unity,
whether
in Wall Street
or
in Main Street.
A crisis
like 9/11/2001
rejuvenates
the old American system’s
way of life
for worse
or
for better.
Remembrance of 9/11/2001 crisis
can either make us move forward
to a new beginning
or
make us more bitter
and
cease the unexpected opportunities
and
the new generation’s paradigm.
On the Way to Politics
American Politics
is
like a seizure
with multiple unknown causes
or
diagnoses
but
with multiple medications
to choose,
whether
it will heal
or
cure the symptoms.
Provisions
of medical cure
for negative symptoms
of American Politics
is like selling snake oil
to the public.
Every promise
of
an American politician,
who
televises
and
repeatedly plays
on modern Social Media platforms,
creates
a frenzy
and
an illusion
to each constituent.
Promising or not promising,
that is the question?
Promises have no value
without
an executable bill
or
bills
being legally created
and
passed
by the Legislative body
of
a local,
a State
and the federal government.
A ratification
from the executive body
is
needed
for checks and balances.
The political triad of the foundation
of American political system:
Legislative,
Executive,
and
Judicial.
Colloquially,
American Politics
seeps
and creates
a new crack
into the structure
of this foundation
like an earthquake
can
easily
shake
the foundation
of a brand new house.
Only time
will tell
when
it
will
occur.
Multipolarity of American Politics
The American political system
has been polarized
by two major political parties:
Democratic Party
and
Republican Party.
Two opposing poles
of the American Political system
create a multipolarity
to modern American Politics
like diagnosing
a mental health disorder
using DSM-5
based on the modality
or
severity
of a specific disorder.
The two-party system
exists
to serve
the real purpose
of playing a devil’s advocate
when appropriating a bill
by the Legislative body
to make a new law,
to amend an existing law,
and
to repeal an existing law.
But the values
of the American political system
cannot be denied
by the evidence-based studies
that Ordinary American’s way of life
is
no longer serviceable
by the two-party system.
The two-party system
is
like a mechanical tool
of the Legislative
and
Executive body
of the American political system.
More or less,
policymaking committees
serve the process
of the two-party system
for cooperation and collaboration
of the lawmaking process.
Nonetheless,
a multipolarity
exists
in American Politics.
Inclusion and Diversity in American Politics
American Politics
continues
to be diversified
by different
cultures,
races,
ethnicities
and
mainly
the support
of grassroots level.
More and more inclusion
of non-white American politicians
are being elected
to create the American Dream
of every immigrant
who sails thousand years ago,
who seeks refuge and an asylum,
and
who enters this country
at the front door
of the United States Customs and Border
with an American visa
stamped on the passport
of this Promise Land.
Is it still true that the American Dream
of this Promise Land
continue
to serve the real purpose
of the Ordinary Americans’ way of life?
No one can answer
such a question
and
provide an enumerated list
of answers,
whether this Promise Land
still continues
to serve
the label
of American Dream
for
a better life
in the future.
The hidden secret
of the American Dream
still lies
ahead of us.
But Inclusion and Diversity
in American Politics
create
a multitude
of possibilities,
whether
the American Dream
is
attainable
or
not attainable
in the near future.
This is what makes
this country unique
is through
democracy
and not
autocracy
in the long-term.
Democratizing American Politics
surely serves
the purpose
of the American Dream.
American Populist and Politician
The two-party system
is
no longer
about Democratic Party
and
Republican Party.
American Politics
creates
a political dynamism
between
an American populist
and
an American real politician.
Populism
is not
a new order
or
word
in the American
electoral process.
An American populist
excites
the crowd
of the new era
with several promises
without knowing
by
