The giant African fruit beetle, sometimes called African Goliath Beetle, isn’t as gigantic as the name suggests, even though it is quite huge for an insect. An adult female is usually 35–55mm (1.38-2.1in) and the male ranges from 35–80mm (1.38-3.15in), which for a bug is impressive.
This large scarab beetle feeds on fruits and sap flows from tree wounds, high in sugar content. By doing this they are helping the ecosystem because the action lessens the number
