About this ebook
Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Book Preview:
#1 There is a wide literature around the concept of the leadership arc. The careers of even the greatest leaders follow a similar pattern. The end can be sudden and brutal, and more than 150 coaches lost their jobs as a result of the instability caused by sacking the manager.
#2 The leadership arc is the path of a leader's career. It is a journey of success, stability, and eventually problems, which leads to their resignation. It is the same at every top club.
#3 The little things are important when hiring a manager. You must never assume that being a player will be enough to be a manager. The experience of being a player does not enable you to manage a team.
#4 When you become a manager, you think you know everything. In reality, you know nothing. It is difficult to have a good relationship with the players while still being the boss. You must be able to command everyone’s attention all the time.
