Broken Rage - Mystequi
Another Cut
Cut, slice
Dripping blood
Sliding down my wrist,
Rip, tare
My skin opens wider with each move of the blade
Drip, drop
Crimson liquid streams down my wrist
Onto the floor
Making a small puddle,
I sigh in relief
As I finally feel something
Instead of the numbness that has taken me over
Slowly the bleeding stops
And so does the pain
Sighing
I clean my razor
And wash my arm
Before leaving
Going back to the world
Where I once again
Can-not feel.
This World
Screaming, Crying
Hurting, Lying
Hatred, Rage
Bitterness, Fear
Children losing their innocents
At such a young age
Orphans
Being beaten and used
Then tossed aside like garbage
Such is the world we live in
Where nothing pure can survive
Where only the hardened live,
This is no world to bring up a child in
But I cannot give you up
My little one,
Instead I will try and create a world
Where you can live
And breathe
Your innocent’s intact
No matter what
I will try!
Betrayed
A single bullet
Of betrayal
Hits my chest and
Burrows deep into my heart
My un-surprised expression
Causes your glare to fade and surprise to take its place
As you realize
I had known
Tears fill your eyes now
As you realize I had known and stayed
Until now
I stand up and pick up my suitcase
It’s time for me to go
I send you one last smile
And walk out the door
Hurt but still alive
And disappear from your sight
I won’t be seeing you around
I’m getting out of town
I leaving behind all our friends
And starting over again
Maybe one day
I’ll even find
Love.
The Perfect Storm
Anger rolls in
Creating a tense atmosphere
Lies come from every mouth
Causing a thick fog
Hate in each glare
Creating bolts of lightning
A perfect storm of events
Only peace, love and hope
Can dissipate
The only way to get peace love and hope
Is to go to the cross
Jesus will set you free
If only you will go to him.
Let Me
Roll in out of the dark
Let the fire of life warm you,
Let my arms become your shelter,
Let my love become your guide,
Let my voice sooth your doubts,
Let my heart be your
