    I found I enjoyed making up stories to tell my thirteen grandchildren, and they enjoyed listening to them, so I thought why not write them down in a book for other children to enjoy. I am a family man and have been married to Marlene for forty-two years. We have five grown-up children and thirteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

      The little boy fell asleep with a ball of plasticine and a cuddly blue duck in his hand. But before he had time to turn over the plasticine had developed a face and turned into a Scangee, and the cuddly ducks heart began to beat.

      The adventures of Scangee and the Blue Duck had begun.

      Scangee and Blue duck rolled off the bed onto the land of make believe, but before long Little Blue Duck began to get tired, Jump onto my hat said Scangee and we can roll down the winding road together.

      Scangee rolled along until he came to a field with a cow in Good morning Mrs Cow smiled Scangee. Good morning Mrs Cow said the Blue Duck as Scangee raised his hat, what a surprise that was for Mrs Cow.

      Scangee put his hat back on and continued rolling down the road, across a rustic bridge spanning a small river.

      A dog barked at the gate of a small cottage, Scangee stopped. Good morning Mr Dog he said, the dog threw his head in the air. "What on earth are you? He replied. I’m a Scangee said the ball of plasticine, what’s that said the dog.
