    PREFACE

Teaching swimming lessons to children through adults has been a life joy and passion. The infamous backyard pool of Bob and Joan Leonard in St. Charles, IL with its original exposed aggregate deck and springy Spartan diving board dates back to the summer of 1971. Bob prided himself in putting it in and maintaining both it and its sparkling water.

Mascot Leo the Sea Lion and his motto, I’d rather be swimming!
