      Word of the Day: A Journey of Love

      Preface

      As I sat on the beach ten days prior to my wedding anniversary, I began to pray about what to do for my husband as a 30 year anniversary gift.  What do you give the man who has everything he needs?  Nothing came to me until God finally gave me a word, literally.  He asked me to commit 365 days of sharing a word with my husband, Joe, that would encourage him daily. He told me to spell out the word, give a brief definition and write a short sentence on how that word relates to Joe and/or to us as a couple.  Sometimes, it’s funny.  Sometimes, it’s tear-rendering.  I use our bathroom mirror and I write with a dry erase marker that can be erased quickly with a dry cloth and a few swipes. You may choose a small piece of paper, a note card or a creation all your own.  Make your own words fit where mine may not exactly apply to your situation.  Either way, I pray that you find the words encouraging and forthright. Now, go – and enjoy the next 365 days.
