This eBook deliberates the different theories of conflict.

    Introduction

    Conflict theory is a somewhat ambiguous theoretic pattern in sociological philosophy. The word conflict theory candied in the 1950s when sociologists like Ralf Dahrendorf and Lewis Coser critiqued the then dominating administration in the society for excessively accentuating for a conflict free society. So, they put forward conflict theory as an autonomous hypothesis of sociological theory with an altered emphasis on portents of influence, wellbeing, oppression, and conflict. Mainly, conflict theory shoulders that people display organisational supremacy disunions and source disparities leading to differing interests. Nevertheless, the advent of evident conflicts is a pretty occasional occurrence, as it is subject to the conscription of power resources by societal actors and on their communal association. So, conflict theory accepts that society and other types of communal association generally display somewhat steady arrangements of power and oppression, interrupted only occasionally by noticeable conflicts. Yet, besides some authors such as Randall Collins, only some modern sociologists use the tag conflict theory to recognize their exemplary stand. So, conflict theory has not become a recognized hypothesis in social theory.
