Lean Life - Paul A. Akers
INTRO
What is Lean?
Perhaps the best way to answer this question is by contrasting a non-Lean thinker to a Lean thinker. A non-Lean thinker is someone who looks at any process and says, It’s good enough.
They see problems and defects as inevitable and part of every process that can’t be fixed. A Lean thinker is in pursuit of perfection. The methodology they use in this pursuit is continuous improvement. This single activity provides power for everyone who embraces it. They view relentlessly chipping away at your problems every day as the roadmap to utopia. (What is Lean video.)
In short, are you a good enough person?
or a continuous improvement person?
How you answer this question will determine the relevance of this book.
