Chapter One
Justin
I’m lying in bed when I hear the first knocks on my door, I know it’s her and I know what she wants. I glance over at the clock, sure enough it’s after three in the morning; I debate on whether to go answer the door or hope that she goes home to sleep it off. The pounding is getting louder; I can hear her screeching my name. Thank God I live out in the country so no one can hear her, but it’s annoying as fuck. I love this woman; I’ve given her my heart, but she wants my soul. I roll out of bed grab my pajama pants, pulling them on as I head downstairs.
She sounds three sheets to the wind, I pray she didn’t drive all the way out to me like that. I reached the bottom of the stairs just as she starts to curse my name to the heavens. Justin, I know you’re in there you boring fuck, come let me in. Come on Justin I’m lonely out here, let me come inside so I can make you feel good.
I knew she didn’t mean what she said when she was drunk, she loved me, she’d said it a hundred times. Move your fucking ass Justin; I need my damn money for the week. I swear I don’t know why I put up with your ass sometimes.
Taking a deep breath, I opened the front door and she promptly fell into my arms.
It’s about fucking time asshole, do you know how long I’ve been waiting for you to answer this goddamn door, too fucking long that’s how long.
She was screaming in my face, poking her red fingernail into my chest, I cringed at the touch. When she behaved like this I couldn’t reason with her. She was cold inside, even though she was warm for my touch. I knew if I took her upstairs she’d become putty in my hands, but I hated taking her when she was like this. It was as if she was a different woman, no longer the woman I fell in love with.
Violet, love, I came as soon as I heard you banging baby, I was sleeping. Please tell me you didn’t drive over here like this?
She stood up from my arms on shaky legs and pushed away from me, it left me with a cold empty feeling. Of course you were sleeping, Mister-I-don’t-like-to-party-during-the-week-because-I-have-to-work. God you are so boring! No, I didn’t drive over here I called your car service to bring me out. Aren’t you happy to see me lover?
Now she was walking seductively towards me, she wrapped her arms around my neck, and gave me a pouty face as if I had hurt her feelings.
I almost relented feeling tempted to pull her against me; it had been awhile since we were intimate due to her excessive drinking and me working long hours. I wanted her, but I wanted the woman I fell in love with not this person who was rubbing up against me. She’d changed over the years, became someone I hardly recognized, started hanging out with socialites, and going to all the parties. She wanted to fit in she said, for when we got married.
Yeah when we got married, she would have to agree to marry me first. I’ve bought her three engagement rings, and none of them were up to par for her, she claimed that she’d agree to marry me once I could afford the kind of diamond she deserved. Apparently being a millionaire at twenty-six wasn’t enough, she kept hounding me to work more, expand my video game company. I just wanted to enjoy my success and relax in my beautiful home in the middle of nowhere.
The house was huge it had eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, game room, an amazing deck for barbeques, and the biggest pool I’d ever seen. I made sure it would have everything we needed to start the big family I’ve always wanted, but Violet hated it. She said I should have bought a penthouse in the city overlooking everything, that’s what rich people were supposed to do, she’d said. Not this rich guy, I just wanted to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. I’d been working my ass off since I got out of high school to get where I was; I deserved to enjoy it a little.
Baby you know I’m happy to see you anytime, but I worry about your safety when you are drinking without me around.
She looks up at me with hatred in her eyes; I can tell that whatever is coming next isn’t going to be pretty.
Oh I see, you want to control whatever I do, admit it Justin you just want me to be barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen for the rest of my life. When are you going to realize people like us don’t settle down and have a bunch of kids? We party, we network, and we make our fortune grow.
She is so agitated that she’s walking back and forth in front of me in her mega tall heels, every time she stops they click against the floor.
Babe, our fortune will grow just fine while we relax here and start a family. I don’t want to control you; I love you, I want to have children with you when you are ready. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, our kids, and hopefully grandkids eventually. What’s so wrong with that?
I know better than to question her, but I can’t help it. I don’t understand what’s so wrong with me wanting us to have a family together. I don’t have time to duck before the vase on the counter is flying towards me and shatters on impact. Stumbling backwards, I trip over the ottoman, twist to the right and land on my ankle. Pain, like nothing I’ve ever felt, shoots up my leg. Fuck, I think I broke something. Looking down at my chest I see specks of blood where the vase must have cut me.
Violet can you please come help me up, I think I broke something.
She doesn’t move; she just stands there giving me a no-fucking-way look, like it’s beneath her to help me up. Get up yourself; you’re the one that made me throw the damn vase anyway.
Plopping down on the couch she watches me struggle to get up, I am finally able to flip myself over and use the ottoman to give myself a hand up. I refuse to yell at her, I won’t become my father; he verbally abused my mother for years and I won’t become him. Instead I simply pull myself up into the chair and try to talk sense into her again.
Violet why don’t you crash here tonight, we haven’t spent a night together since I moved into the house.
She’d been very adamant about not spending the night in my Podunk house, but maybe she’d want to stay tonight. Glaring at me from the couch with her arms crossed, my eyes are drawn to her ruby red lips and I just want to kiss her until she melts like it used to be. Justin, you know damn well why I’m here so let’s get this over with so you can give me my allowance and I can go back to the city.
When she talked like that she made it sound like I was paying her to have sex with me, the thought made me sick to my stomach.
Getting up from the couch and strolling over to me, she straddled my waist. I could feel her heat against me. I wanted her so badly, but my ankle felt like knives running through it. She started taking off the body hugging black dress she had on causing my brain fritzed out, all of the sudden the only thing on my mind was being inside her. When I noticed she didn’t have anything on under the dress my blood started to boil. I wanted to yell at her for not wearing any underwear, but again my cock had a mind of its own. She started rubbing back and forth against me, making me hard as a rock. Now are you going to give me what I came for baby, or am I going to have to beg?
Pulling down my pants, she released my cock with ease and wrapped her lips around the head. She rarely did this so I was going to keep my mouth shut until she was done, ankle be damned. When I reached for her hair, she pulled back instantly. What the fuck have I told you about touching my hair Justin! You know what, never mind just give me my fucking allowance so I can get out of here.
I looked at her stunned; I couldn’t even gather a response to her abrupt behavior. All I did was nod my head in the direction of my checkbook for her to get it for me. While she was doing that I pulled my pants back up. I filled out the check without saying a word to her, and handed it over. She never said thank you or goodbye as she made a beeline to the door. Good thing I asked the car service to wait for me outside, I’ll see you next week.
As soon as the door shut the pain in my ankle was excruciating. I made my way to the kitchen as best I could, got some pain killers, and took them with some water. Realizing my phone was upstairs; I think about hopping up the stairs but after what just happened, I don’t even try. Instead, I hobble over to the couch and lie down, hoping to sleep a little. The pain meds take a little bit to kick in but once they do I doze off in no time flat.
Dava
Damn it I’m late, that stupid doctor’s office was running two hours behind, which means asking someone to pick up Elliot for me so I can stay late at Mr. Wayne’s to finish up. Not that he ever made much of a mess, but I was paid for eight hours and I was going to work eight hours. Using my key to get into the huge house as usual, I knew something was off as soon as I saw the mess in the entryway. Walking over the glass, I checked to make sure nothing else was damaged or missing from the house, that’s when I heard him groan from the couch. Jumping at the sound, I let out an unladylike scream as he lifted up to look over the couch at me.
Clamping my hand over my mouth, I tried to hide my shock at seeing him. His hair was sticking straight up and he was rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. Um, hello there, you must be Dava, the housekeeper?
I stood there with my mouth gaping open at a loss for words, he was gorgeous, not magazines gorgeous. The kind of hot guy you see with tight jeans and cowboy boots. He wasn’t exactly what I expected for a millionaire. I expected something like Donald Trump; clean cut, manicured nails, and no scruff. This man was wild looking, hair out of control, trimmed scruffy beard, with an aura of strength around him. As if he could kill a bear with his bare hands and still come home to fuck you against the kitchen counter.
Realizing I was just staring, I snapped myself out of it. "Uh yes Mr. Wayne, I’m Dava, the housekeeper, I’m sorry I’m late my son had a doctor’s appointment and it ran late. I’ll stay later to make
