Reviews for The Flight of the Cue Ball - Aiming Pool Shots with Side Spin

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is outstanding. At first, I found it to be a little self-aggrandizing, but as I read on, I realized that, on the contrary, it addresses the content with a humble grace. It is the only text on pocket billiards I have ever come across that successfully blends a disciplined, mathematical approach with oft-stated (but rarely well-communicated) sentiments about developing a “feel” for pool shots. A true synthesis of art and science, this is a must-read for any pool player.

The Aiming Material Acquiring Excellence in Pool,
is the first Chapter of this book.
The Flight of the Cue Ball,
Side Spin information is the second Chapter.
I wrote the aiming book first and it led me to the second book, it was a natural progression.
I advise anyone to work with these Aiming Techniques because they’re Easy and Universal strengthening all other forms of aiming.
I show you my way of finding a correct Delivery Point, but if you have a way that you prefer and trust, you can learn this Side Spin material.
I give you a clear picture of the kinds of things you need to be able to see and understand so you can Excel at the Game of Pool.
I designed this series of information as...
A Pathway to Excellence in the Game of Pool.
If you think about it, where else on planet Earth is there an understandable explanation for Aiming and using Side Spin with it?
That’s right, this is the only one!
Designed so you can learn and connect to it!
There is nothing better than that!
I came back to playing pool in 2005 after being away for many years and I asked myself, How did I used to play this game?
As I looked around me I found people that loved the game that wanted to be able to play at a higher level. So I made my reentry into Pool about being able to accurately describe with simplicity better ways to learn to play. One day I was watching a YouTube interview with Efren Reyes
and someone said, Efren, people refer to you as
The Magician because of how well you play,
Can you tell us how you make your shots? Then he said,
I just use the edge of the ball to tell me what to do. This simple explanation told me that shot making could be described in a clear and easier way. My techniques are designed to be crystal clear, easy to learn and accurate leading towards Excellence. My goal is to make Pool easier to play, so more people will enjoy it and at higher levels. On my journey to finding better ways to describe pool skills I found a great way to explain shot making that is fully complete. That means that the explanation begins with the Center Ball Aiming Technique and it ends in explaining how to aim the shots with Side Spin. My approach is through simplicity. The end result is easier shot making and a solid pathway to Mastery of the Game. I felt it was important to explain the shot making process in a way that the player knew what he was doing with every aspect of it.
Aim is the Game in Pool, because Pool is a contest between shot makers. Knowing how you do what you do is important. The game still demands that you practice and develop solid fundamentals. You can do these things much better when you understand how to make the shots. Perhaps with clear direction and confident ability more people will learn to play. I want everyone to be able to say,
I just use the edge of the ball to tell me what to do." The secrets to learning this kind of shot making skill are located inside this book. The simplistic beauty of the game is the kind of pool that I want you to be able to experience. It’s a real and visual simplicity that offers you a solid base to learn the rest of the skills. I make it easy to learn and use leading towards Excellence if you want to take it that far. The fact that it was natural to continue and explain the use of Side Spin tells me the material is exceptional. This is a complete explanation of Aiming and Side Spin Cue Ball delivery by distance and stroke pressure. People that want to play an accomplished game of pool should have the information that will take them there. By giving you crystal clear and usable understanding, I save you a lot of time. This technique stands strongly on its own and will strengthen any other aiming technique you currently use, as it’s very Universal and inclusive in nature. I’m very proud of this work from using and knowing its full potential. My website is at aimisthegameinpool.com Thank you for your interest in my work. Practice thoughtfully and hit them well. Acquiring Excellence In Pool
Acquiring Excellence in Pool is a journey beginning with an aiming technique that I call The Target Ball Concept. It’s all that I use and I’m playing the best pool of my life. It’s Part 1 of a process that is finished in the next book The Flight of the Cue Ball,
that teaches Aiming Adjusted for Side Spin. The Probability of connecting to this concept is very high because it is completely and well explained. You will understand the pathway the ball must occupy on its journey and you will be able to put the shot on that path because of the strong visuals. It’s also very Universal in that it will assist any other aiming method making it stronger. It’s new to the scene, all original material and no one else has anything like it. It takes a hard to acquire skill, providing you a fresh new way to look at shots that makes them easy to learn and master. My prediction for you, based on the comments and results of my users,
is that soon after use, your game will go up several balls in skill based on the 9-ball spot system. Easy to learn techniques make for confident and better playing Pool Players who seek to improve their position getting skills. This leads you naturally to the use of Side Spin in the next book in the series, The Flight of the Cue Ball.
This technique promotes proper shot alignment
