Because I am dyslexic, I find writing a challenge, but my love of writing has inspired me to write more than sixty children’s stories, over two hundred poems and thirty-seven Romance Novels. I have also illustrated two story books used by primary teachers and students as a part of a vocal hygiene program at University of Arizona’s Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. My credits also include four stories published by McFadden Publishing Co. in NYC. I wrote, illustrated and published two books of poetry used as fund-raisers by the Leukemia and Multiple Sclerosis organizations. I wrote illustrated and published in one book, forty-two children’s stories. I had an exhibition at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne, Fl of my pen and ink drawings of animals. Recently, I have had three E-Book Romance Novels and a book of short stories published on the Spangaloo.Com website and another on the Smashwords.Com website. I make my home in Melbourne, Florida where I continue to write and illustrate

ELLIOTT THE BIG HEARTED ELEPHANT
Hi, everyone, my name is Elliott…
and I am a colorful stuffed elephant.
I’m made of calico material; red, green and blue…
and I have a really great story to tell you.
My owner is Zandria and she loves me best from all the rest…
because her grandmother sewed a big red heart on my chest.
She takes me to bed, where I’m hugged and squeezed…
and I join her in tea parties making me happy and pleased.
The sweet girl plays with me each and every day…
then places me a on a high shelf where I stay.
One day Zandria did not place me on the shelf just right…
and I fell, kerplop,
to the floor with a terrible fright.
I had no idea how long I lay on the cold hard floor…
waiting patiently for her to come back to play some more…
Instead of the girl, a small dog came in and sniffed me.
It tickled, and I didn’t mind ‘til he nudged me curiously.
He then bit me and I tried to say, You’re not playing fair.
But the dog did not lessen, or he did not care.
He pulled my ear and trunk making me cry out more…
and then all my insides were scattered on the floor.
Oh, woe is me,
I cried and let out a sorrowful moan…
and what was left of me waited until the girl came home.
My poor friend,
she gasped, releasing a great big tear.
"What happened to your long nose and your left ear?
Oh, Elliott you’re a total loss…you’ll never be the same."
And I was tossed in the trash, though I was not to blame.
I can be fixed!
I yelled as Zandria walked away…
but I remained in the trashcan until the next day.
In the morning as the sun rose I heard a boy say…
You’re too pretty to be in the trash and thrown away.
I was happy to be taken from there and to be found.
Though I was unstitched and stitched into something round.
My big red heart was once again sewn on me…
