Acknowledgments
As always, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for their assistance with this project or for helping keep me somewhat sane during its creation. It has been quite a long year that was filled with enough twists, turns, pitfalls, plot twists and sinister characters to fill a book of its own. The following people were there to make certain that whatever psychotic episode I had was nothing more than the addition of a few more gray hairs (yep, the little shits have finally invaded me).

As always, if I forgot anyone, please know that it wasn't intentional. I just chalk it up to years upon years of drain bamage and assorted shenanigans/swashbuckling that has eventually led to memory loss, and rare, frightening, moments of sanity.
I want you guys to know that I honestly and truly appreciate all that you have done for me over the past few months/years. Without your support, I don't know what the hell would've transpired. Nothing good, I'm certain.

FOREWORD
BY ERIC S. BROWN
I've known Charlie Morgan for a long time. I know few people who have a more dedicated interest in cryptozoology than he does. Charlie is more than just interested though. He is the author of crypto-inspired horror tales that leave his readers dreading their next trip into the woods. This book you hold in your hand, however, goes far beyond mere fiction. It's a guide to all things Bigfoot in the Carolinas and beyond. It will teach you how to hunt Bigfoot yourself with tips on everything from collecting footprints to the preperations you want to take before you enter the woods. It contains info on official Bigfoot sighting forms and even a detailed section on the forensics of hunting Bigfoot.
The best parts of this book, to me, are the actual encounters with the supposedly mythical beast. They add a very compelling element that really makes you wonder if such creatures exist... even if you are a skeptic. These witness reports are well detailed and this book even includes maps of where some of these encounters took place.
I often find it surprising that there are people who don't realize North Carolina has its own Bigfoot sightings and legends. Growing up here, I certainly heard some of them. I can remember as a child watching The Legend of Boggy Creek and, after watching that film, I grew deathly afraid of the woods surrounding my home. There was nothing but mountains and woods surrounding that house. I would dream of a giant ape-like thing emerging from them. It was a juggernaut of pure, primal, muscle and fury. Locked doors and windows were no safegaurd against it. I would dream of that monster coming through the window of my bedroom and staring in with feral, bloodthirsty eyes. I know that science, for the most part, believes that Bigfoot is a peaceful creature, but I believe that's not the case for all of them. If Bigfoot is real, then surely there are Sasquatch who would, given the chance, tear a human being limb from limb. Those personal fears gave birth to my Bigfoot War series. While I hope that I am wrong, I would still recommend taking a gun with you if you go hunting for the beast. In this book, Mr. Morgan addresses the very question I raise here – to kill or not to kill? I certainly didn't know that there were actual local laws in some places regarding shooting a Sasquatch until I read this book.
All in all, this book is not only a useful tool in regards to all things Bigfoot, but is an entertaining read you will find yourself returning to again and again as time goes by.

INTRODUCTION
PART ONE
Growing up in the mountains of Western North Carolina, I can still recall the stories told to me by my father and grandmother about the Booger Man.
During a tongue lashing, it was pretty common to hear the words, if you don't mind yourself, the Booger Man will come get you.
Then you grow up and stop believing in such things. There's no
