About this ebook
Four short stories of cosmic horror, unpleasant stalkers and the occasional punchline. A disturbed young man uses a zombie apocalypse to get closer to the object of his affections. A peeping tom stares through the wrong window and gets more than he bargained for. A haunting melody draws a man into a creepy library and to the brink of insanity. A creature of the night makes an unlikely friend. Four snapshots of varying darkness.

Introduction
Hullo, everyone. My name is Sam, and I’m addicted to shuffling words around.
I’ve been shuffling words around in various manners since I was a child. It’s always tragic when a young person succumbs to such a debilitating addiction. Eyesight can be ruined by long nights in front of glowing computer screens. Parents stand in doorways tearfully wondering if their beloved child will ever willingly expose themselves to fresh air and natural light again.
Writing. Not even once.
I’ve been lucky in that my case has thus far been a mild one — with the exception of a few short works on deviantart, my blog and a few short films, I’ve not written anything that I’ve had the compulsion to force upon others. But today that has changed, and if I’m lucky then you hold in your hands the next stage of my worsening condition — self–publication. God help us. Gold help us all.
The four stories included here are more or less representative of my writing style — I write genre stuff, mainly horror and fantasy, with an occasional comedic leaning. I aim to entertain, and I humbly submit the following in the hopes of doing so. If you enjoy them, please feel free to let me know! If you don’t, please feel free to avoid the temptation to let me know as I’m a delicate flower and you’ll make me cry.
With luck, this will be the first step in getting my work out there and in front of people’s eyes. The next step will probably be to start on that fantasy novel I’ve been threatening you all with for a while now…
For now, draw the curtains, pour yourself a hot drink and settle in. This won’t take long. And it won’t hurt… much…
