There’s nothing like a three A.M joy ride.

Feeling the wind in your face, ruffling your hair, and your favorite rock 'n roll band on the radio can really lift your spirits. Riding down lonely, long roads that wind along for hours are even better. You get to be alone with your thoughts and your music, and you realize what is important.

I had been dealing with the loss of my mother for the last six weeks. Long story short, it had turned me into a different person. Her death was a long time coming, however. I felt that, even though it wasn’t what she wanted, the arrangement still would have made her happy.

I finally made it to the end of a long and winding road, and stumbled across a little club. Industrial music blared from the little building, which looked more like a two story house. Curious and unable to sleep, I parked my car and made my way to the entrance. The bouncer let me in without even asking for any ID, which I found to be strange. I walked into the club and found about 75 people listening to music and drinking beer. The music was
